Crownwise LTD is led by Ruma Luckeenarain, bringing over 40 years of experience supporting adults with mental health needs.
Ruma holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology – University of East London, and an MPhil in Psychology (Applied to Medicine) – King’s College London. She is a Certified Mindfulness Practitioner / Teacher (Devon School of Mindfulness / Mindfulness Now). Her professional development includes training with Dr Tamara Russell, Gina Biegel, and she attended the “Mindfulness within Person-Based Cognitive Therapy for Psychosis” workshop with Professor Paul Chadwick, gaining direct insight into evidence-based mindfulness practices for clinical populations.
Crownwise LTD is fully registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and is committed to delivering safe, compassionate, and person-centred care.
A dedicated philanthropist, Ruma has raised funds for handicapped children in Mauritius and older people in the UK. She was crowned Miss Mauritius UK (1986) and won the Sega Championship (1985)—Sega being the traditional dance of Mauritius—using these achievements to support charitable causes, including performances at the Commonwealth celebrations at Crystal Palace Football Ground.
Ruma leads with integrity, compassion, and excellence, supported by an experienced management team, some with international medical and healthcare training, ensuring professional and person-centred care across all Crownwise services.
