About This Home

Residents at Belleview are supported to live semi-independently, with 24-hour supervision by trained staff to foster confidence and reintegration after hospital stays. Support includes assistance with budgeting, benefit claims, medical access, food preparation, shopping, domestic skills, and social activities. Residents are encouraged to engage in community activities, with staff facilitating connections to local centres, libraries, or voluntary roles. One daily meal is provided, with a choice of culturally sensitive options for Afro-Caribbean, White, and Indian traditions, and residents can prepare additional meals in equipped kitchens under supervision. Lockable cabinets ensure safe medication storage for self-administration, with first aid kits available. Visitors are welcome in communal areas from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., requiring sign-in and staff notification after hours, with no overnight stays. Family meals can be arranged with two days’ notice for a small fee. Pets are not allowed for health and safety reasons. Smoking is permitted in designated areas and the garden to avoid triggering the sensitive fire alarm system. Residents can organize outings, and the home arranges weekly van trips to parks, beaches, or places of interest, plus annual group outings like an 'Away Weekend' or seaside day trip. The manager assists with statutory benefits and liaises with Social Services and the Department for Work and Pensions.
